DALLAS, TEXAS (September 26, 2008)
Ambit Energy, L.P., announced today that it has filed for its membership in the Direct Selling Association (DSA), a move which further confirms the retail energy provider's commitment to practicing the highest ethics in business.
Ambit Energy Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Jere W. Thompson, Jr., stated, "Since founding Ambit Energy, we have practiced the motto: 'Never sacrifice integrity for growth.' Our application for membership in the Direct Selling Association, with their high standards of ethical conduct, is just a continuation or our commitment to do things the right way every day."
According to Ambit Energy Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer Chris Chambless, " Even though network marketing is becoming a more accepted business model, there are still companies that do not strive to meet high ethical standards. Our membership in the DSA demonstrates our commitment to all of our Consultants and to all those entrepreneurs across the country who are evaluating our business as their vehicle for positive financial change in their lives.."
About DSAThe Direct Selling Association (DSA) is the national trade association of the leading firms that manufacture and distribute goods and services sold directly to consumers. More than 200 companies are members of the association, including many well-known brand names. More information is available at www.dsa.org. Compliance with the DSA Code of Ethics is a requirement for membership in the Direct Selling Association. All applicants for membership must complete a one-year pending period during which time the company's business plan is reviewed to ensure compliance with all provisions of the Code. After becoming an active member of the association, companies are required to maintain compliance with the Code as a condition of continuing membership.
